OHMYGOSSIP — Charlene White is ‘Loose Women’s new anchor.
The 40-year-old journalist is set to lead the ITV daytime panel show alongside the likes of Ruth Langsford, Christine Lampard and Kaye Adams, following on from the exit of Andrea McLean.
Speaking about her new role on the ITV daytime show, she said: “I’m absolutely stoked, I’ve been buzzing all this time to reveal that I’m the new anchor on Loose Women.
“This is rather exciting, isn’t it? I am very happy, thank you so much for having me, ladies.”
And in response to the news, Nadia Sawalha shared: “We’re all so happy you’re here”
Whilst Stacey Solomon added: “You’re one of us now.”
Charlene guest anchored the show back in October as part of the show’s first all-black line-up, alongside Judi Love, Brenda Edwards and Kelle Bryan. It received rave reviews from fans online.
Meanwhile, Andrea confirmed she was leaving ‘Loose Women’ back in November.
Andrea said her decision was influenced by the “incredible feedback” she received after releasing her book, ‘This Girl Is on Fire’, in September, which details her journey from trauma, toxic relationships and divorce towards empowerment, happiness and healing.
Speaking through tears, she confirmed: “I’m going to be leaving ‘Loose Women’.
“I didn’t mean to cry, I’m so sorry. I want to be brave, I really want to … all the incredible feedback I had from my book, and the support I was able to give them, I want to bring it to life and I want to … Oh gosh, I’m so sorry. It was a really big decision to jump and see if I fall or if I fly, and I just thought I will never know unless I try, so I’m saying goodbye to ‘Loose Women.'”
