OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Whitmore is expecting her first child.
The ‘Love Island’ host took to Instagram to reveal she and her husband Iain Stirling – who married in secret last month – are expecting their first baby in “early 2021”.
She wrote: “So I’ve always tried to be protective over the personal side of my life. A lot of things are just for me and my loved ones and we’ve chosen not to share publicly. However I want to now share good news as it’s our news to share – and I’m gonna be honest it’s starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control. Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021. (sic)”
Laura admitted it has been tough to keep the baby news a secret, and revealed she has been sick during her radio shows in recent months due to morning sickness – rather than being hungover “like everyone thought”.
She added: “It’s been hard to keep such happy news quiet. Especially the times when I’ve had to run out of live radio to get sick in a bin or my penchant for a bowl of mashed potato in the morning. I wasn’t hungover like everyone thought. In fact I was completely sober filming the entire series of Celeb Juice, which is quite the accolade!
We’d appreciate our privacy respected but just wanted to spread some love and a reminder of the beauty of life (sic)”
Iain also took to Instagram to reveal the news, and shared a picture of his PlayStation 5 and Xbox games consoles, with a note on that read: “I will miss you.”
He added: “Sorry to my old babies but there is a new baby coming early 2021. (sic)”
Several of the pair’s pals were quick to congratulate them on their happy news.
Kimberley Walsh shared: “Ah congratulations babe what lovely news! (sic)”
Charlotte Hawkins wrote: “Ahhh big congratulations!! (sic)”
Scarlett Moffatt posted: “Omg congratulations you will make the greatest parents (sic)”
The pair are said to have got married in secret last month at Dublin’s City Hall.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Iain and Laura are so in love, they really wanted to get married as soon as possible.
“Despite circumstances not being ideal, it was such a romantic day.”
