OHMYGOSSIP — The One Direction star Harry Styles enlisted the help of the hotel maid to record some backing vocals on the band’s new single. The boys were working on a new track while staying in a hotel, and decided that rather than use a pre-recorded sound effect, they would use the real thing…

Harry told The Sun: “We needed a, you know, a groan on one of the songs. So I asked a lady at the hotel to record the ‘Urgghhh! She was nervous at first, but soon got into the swing of it.”

We’re betting that you put her totally at ease, Mr Styles.

The band spoke as they continued on their world tour, and explained why they’d decided against using expensive recording studios, instead using makeshift spots such as hotel rooms, to capture the songs for their latest album.

“We had to do it that way or there would be no time,” Louis explained.

“We had a lot of fun doing it like that – just speakers, a mic…”

But while it might have been fun for the boys to record their songs in the comfort of a hotel room, there were some downsides too, as Harry explained.

“We’d be recording the best vocal ever – you’re thinking, ‘I’m really smashing this!’ and then there’d be a huge knock on the door and you’d get, ‘room service!’ or ‘housekeeping!’

“We’d be like, ‘Noooo!’ and have to start again.

One Direction released their latest single Best Song Ever yesterday, and urged everyone to listen to it before discrediting it because of its seemingly pompous title.
