OHMYGOSSIP — Kyle Pryor has returned to ‘Hollyoaks’ – as a body double.
The 31-year-old actor’s character Laurie Shelby was killed off in August 2019, but the star has been back on the set lately to film smooching scenes with his real-life girlfriend Anna Passey, to ensure the Channel 4 soap can get around the current social distancing regulations as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “It was a very unusual request to go in and do that. I think everyone is having to dodge and move in the current climate.
“It was fantastic to go back. Obviously, I played Laurie on the show prior to that.
“It was really nice to go back in and see some of the cast and crew on set.”
Kyle joked his day rate was “probably not as much as it was being an actor on the show”, but he insisted any money to share a kiss with Anna was a bonus.
He said: “To be honest, any amount of money to go in and kiss my partner is fine by me, it’s an easy day’s work.”
The actor also admitted he loved being back on the show despite all the coronavirus restrictions.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5Live, he added: “There are lots of restrictions in regards to sticking to certain zones.
“It is very restrictive, but it was great being back on set and seeing everyone.
“It was nice shooting, even though it was in the restrictions of being a double.”
Before he was killed off, evil Laurie sexually harassed Sienna and raped his own wife Sinead O’Connor, who was portrayed by Stephanie Davis.
