OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Ramsey has a weekly coronavirus test before travelling to London for ‘Little Mix: The Search’.
The 34-year-old TV presenter has a test at his home in South Shields, north east England, and if he gets the green light he heads down south to host the BBC music competition, after a number of the production team tested positive for coronavirus earlier this month.
Appearing on ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (28.10.20), he explained: “As far as I know, everything’s going to be OK. Since the first week, which was postponed, someone comes in and does a Covid test on me and then I travel down to London if I’m told I’m clear.
“That’s where my knowledge of that stuff begins and ends. I turn up on the day and there’s either four members of Little Mix or three and one on the telly.”Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall appeared on the show via video link last Saturday (24.10.20) because she had to self-isolate.
The first live show was cancelled earlier this month and was rescheduled for last Saturday, as members of the crew were forced to quarantine.
A statement from the BBC read: “We can confirm that a small number of people on the ‘Little Mix The Search’ production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.
“Due to the format of the show we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme.
“There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount. We hope to be back on air on Saturday 24 October.”
The news comes after the series had already been pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic.
