OHMYGOSSIP — Antony Cotton says the coronavirus pandemic lockdown has made him take things easier in life.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who plays Sean Tully on the ITV soap – has realised he and others spend “so much time rushing over things” that he has decided to slow down a bit.
He said: “We’ve become a very disposable society where you can get it at the click of a finger or the click of a mouse, and so now what I’ve learned personally is I don’t have to have that thing delivered by a certain thing tomorrow.
“I can wait, there’s no rush, that’s what lockdown has made me realise is we spend so much time rushing over things and the immediacy of things.”
The 45-year-old star’s latest ‘Corrie’ plot has seen Sean’s son Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) return to Weatherfield, and Antony is “really excited” about his single dad storyline.
Speaking to MailOnline, he added: “I don’t think anyone is telling that story of a single father so I’m really, really excited about it and I absolutely love Liam.
“So I know I’m biased and I have to say that but he’s a brilliant actor but I’m so thrilled and so proud of him.”
Last week, Antony confirmed Liam will become a “full-time” member of the ‘Coronation Street’ cast.
He said: “We’ve done a little short stint first of all, obviously, because the character is back for half term.
“Then he goes away again, then he’s going to come back and do another short stint, and then come back full time. So it’s very, very, very exciting.
“I’m just thrilled that it’s Liam, that it’s the same lad that I worked with when he was three years old.”
