OHMYGOSSIP — HRVY is now free from coronavirus.
The 21-year-old singer, who is taking part in this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, took to Twitter to reveal he has now tested negative, after he tested positive last week and had to quarantine until Thursday (08.10.20).
He wrote: “he’s free from Covid, he’s a free elf now… thank you for all the kind messages, I tested negative today so I’m back, love you guys and see you all soon (sic)”
HRVY – whose real name is Harvey Cantwell – confirmed on October 1st that he had tested positive for Covid-19, but told fans he was “all good” and had no symptoms.
He tweeted: “hi, wasn’t gonna worry anyone and say anything but now the story’s out, i have coronavirus, I’m all good, no symptoms, just isolating for the next 10 days. already super bored so prepare yourselves for my Tik toks
“morning guys, just a little thought. im only 21 and in good health so it just shows that being young doesn’t make you invincible, so make sure you wear a mask please, have a good day (sic)”
This comes after Strictly’s executive producer Sarah James revealed celebrities will be axed from the competition, when it begins, if they test positive for coronavirus because they would have to isolate for a fortnight.
She said: “Unfortunately, if you receive a positive test, that means you wouldn’t be able to continue in the competition.
“According to guidelines, you would have to isolate for two weeks and that would rule you out.”
What’s more, Sarah confirmed pairings will be able to dance without adhering to social distancing rules thanks to “close contact cohort” guidelines, but either the professional dancer or the celebrity contestant will be asked by show bosses to live away from their family.
She explained: “Close contact cohort applies to people who need to be able to work more closely together with one person and are regularly tested.
“We are also asking our celebrities and dancers to be part of an exclusive support bubble that means that one half of the party has to live alone.”
