OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan would “love” to return to ‘Coronation Street’ for the 60th anniversary.
The 30-year-old actress played Rosie Webster on the cobbles on and off from 2000, and her character left in 2018 to pursue a career opportunity in Japan as Helen herself was pregnant with her second child.
Although the soap star is yet to return and is expecting her third baby with fiance Scott Sinclair, she would still be keen to make a ‘Corrie’ comeback for the big celebration in December.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s such an amazing show, I’d love to be part of the 60th.
“I watch ‘Corrie’ all the time, and feel really proud to have been a part of it. It was a massive part of my life – I’ve been in since I was nine, and in and out in my 20s.”
She admitted there is plenty she misses about life on the ITV soap, including late night filming and gossiping with the crew – but her focus is on her family.
Helen – who has daughters Matilda, five, and Delilah, two, with her man Scott – added: “I miss the excitement of filming, miss the night shoots, miss my acting.
“I miss my chats in the morning with the make-up girls, I really, really miss that… I miss everything about it, but my girls come first right now.”
She is keen to head back to Weatherfield one day, and she is still in touch with Sally Dynevor, who plays her on-screen mum Sally Webster.
She said: “I’ll definitely return at some point. I speak loads to Sally, we FaceTime, especially during lockdown and stuff. She’s a lovely lady.”
