OHMYGOSSIP — Ant Middleton has urged people to “calm the f**k down” over the coronavirus pandemic.
The ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ star is “sensitive” to the COVID-19 crisis but he is determined to treat the outbreak with “common sense” and follow the UK government’s advice and, as a healthy 39-year-old man, he will continue to live his life as normal as possible.
In a lengthy Instagram post, he said: “Calm the f**k down people! COVID-19 doesn’t bother me. Why? Because I’m strong and able like the majority of us and it has no benefit or positive impact on my life.
“If you are vulnerable to COVID-19 then the ‘expert advice’ is yours to take on board, listen to it! Because it doesn’t effect me, it is merely ‘advice’! That however doesn’t mean I am not sensitive towards the situation and towards others but I’m treating this situation like I would ANY given situation, with ‘COMMON SENSE’.
“Does covid-19 effect me?.. ‘NO’! Should my life change?…’NO’! Should I be sensitive towards others and the situation (like I always am)?.. ‘YES’! Am I going to do my best to protect and provide for my family first?.. ‘YES ALWAYS’ and in order to do that we must all stay calm and take on advice that’s relevant to our personal situation, and for the majority of us there is no threat. (sic)”
Ant is adamant that the respiratory illness, that has so far claimed the lives of 137 UK citizens, “isn’t going to do anything” to harm the “fit and healthy”.
The TV action man – who has four children with his wife Emilie and a son from a previous relationship – also urged his 826,000 followers to not panic buy food and supplies meaning that nothing is left on the shelves of supermarkets for the “elderly” and those people who need it, insisting this is a time to think of others.
In a video, he said: “A lot of people keep saying, ‘Ant listen to the experts!’ I have listened to the experts. The experts of COVID-19 say if you are vulnerable, self isolate and protect yourselves.
“If you are not vulnerable, then be sensitive to the situation and to the vulnerable, which I am being.”
“If you’re fit and healthy and able, then get out there. Don’t lock yourself away, don’t bulk buy, don’t bloody run for the hills. There’s nothing wrong with you, COVID-19 isn’t going to do anything to you.
“It’s absolutely manic. Stay calm and take on my expert advice on living your life. Stay positive, stay switched on, let’s look after each other.”
