Kelvin Fletcher for new farming show

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelvin Fletcher is set to star on a new farming show.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who played Andy Sugden on the soap for two decades – will appear on Channel 5’s new show ‘Springtime On The Farm’, which will run live for a week and will cover farming issues and the countryside.
JB Gill and the host of ‘Springwatch Unsprung’, Lindsey Chapman, will also present alongside ‘Countryfile’s Adam Henson.
Adam told The Sun newspaper: “As a farmer, it’s great to know the public has a thirst for programmes that look at what we do.
“There’s a real growth in audiences on all channels for fans of the countryside, and this new show promises to be a real celebration of farming at one of the busiest times of the year.”
Kelvin decided to quit ‘Emmerdale’ back in 2016 to start a new career as a rally driver.
A source said at the time: “Kelvin is a soap legend and will be sorely missed by Emmerdale and viewers. Bosses have managed to keep him leaving top secret but now the cat is out of the bag. He has become part of the furniture he’s been there so long.
“Producers have given him a big, dramatic exit. It’s going to be the perfect way to see off Andy. Show chiefs aren’t necessarily saying it’s for good and they are leaving the door open. But for now this is the last people will see of Andy for the foreseeable future.”
