Saturday Night Takeaway will return

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec have confirmed there will be another series of ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’.
Viewers were concerned that there wouldn’t be another instalment of the weekend family show for the foreseeable future after Ant McPartlin, 42, was admitted to rehab earlier this year for his addiction to prescription pills, but fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the comedy double act will be doing another batch of episodes next year.
The announcement was coyly made during last night’s (27.11.17) episode of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ when Dec Donnelly, 42, was ripping his friend.
Ant commented on the amount of different T-shirts this year’s camp mates have been wearing and proceeded to ask who was paying for them all.
To which Dec replied: “You! Has nobody told you?
“You’ve given up your fee for the next series of ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’.”
Ant asked: “So I’m doing the whole next series of ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ for free?”
Dec replied: “Don’t be daft. You’re getting one of these T-shirts with Kez’s face on.”
Ant spent two months in rehab over the summer after he agreed to seek help after being rushed to hospital at 5am following an “insane” binge of painkillers tramadol and morphine, along with alcohol, while recovering from knee surgery in June.
He said after his treatment: “I was at the point where anything — prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs — I would take. And take them with alcohol, which is ridiculous. The doctors told me, ‘You could have killed yourself’. ”
As well as the painkillers, the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star was prescribed sleeping pills to help him through the nights following surgery this year, but was also drinking heavily.
While Ant – who began taking prescription drugs after damaging his knee in 2014 and had a botched operation that left him in agony the following year – knows his wealth made it easier to get treatment, it also made it easier for him to get his hands on the strong painkillers as he could afford to visit multiple doctors for more prescriptions.
