OHMYGOSSIP — Rose Matafeo has gone “off the idea” of appearing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 31-year-old comedian previously admitted that she was desperate to join the BBC show – but Rose has now suggested that she wouldn’t be able to cope with the rigours of the competition.
She told Metro.co.uk: “I think I am off the idea now. I have done my hip and I am getting old, and I am going to have to have about 15 years of rehab on my body and then I will be back to it.
“If I could become a bionic woman by the time I am in my 60s … [that might be an option] but not now. I can barely get up in the morning now…”
Rose stars in the BBC comedy series ‘Starstruck’ and she’s given fans an insight into what they can expect from season three of the show.
She shared: “I think fans will be [surprised] but that can only be a good thing for the third series because every time you are not only progressing that story, but there are a different set of challenges each time.
“It did take us awhile to figure out where we wanted that story to go because there were so many directions it could have gone at the end of the second series.”
Meanwhile, Rose previously revealed that she dreamed of starring on ‘Strictly’.
She told The Herald newspaper: “This is my long-term plan. Post-50 – I’ll need to get my body back into shape. I’ll have brutalised it for 20 years, but ‘Strictly’ is gonna be my comeback.
“I will have some aches and pains, but it’ll be fine, we’ll push past it and I’ll be the Bill Bailey vibe – ‘Good on them for doing it’. I will be on ‘Strictly’ in 2041.”
