OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Thomas was asked to return to ‘Emmerdale’ for the soap’s 50th anniversary.
The 34-year-old star’s character Adam Barton nearly headed back to the Yorkshire Dales for the milestone episodes, but he was too busy filming his ‘Waterloo Road’ return.
He said: “They asked me and Danny Miller to go back for the 50th anniversary but unfortunately I was busy doing this and we couldn’t make it work.”
However, Adam is keen to reprise his ‘Emmerdale’ role at some point.
He said: “But, listen, I would always love to go back one day. ‘Emmerdale’ will always be a huge part of my life.
“I learned so much and I met some amazing people. For now, I want to see where this takes me. But never say never!”
But one reunion Adam wasn’t invited to was the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ all-star special, which will air next year.
He added to OK! magazine: “The best of the best are going back, aren’t they?
“I mean, I don’t know why I didn’t get invited. I kept looking at my phone like, ‘Where’s my call?’ Why have they not rung me?”
Adam will be back as Donte Charles on ‘Waterloo Road’ next month, and earlier this year the actor admitted he feels “blessed” to be reprising the role.
He said: “I’m so excited to go back to where it all started!
“‘Waterloo Road’ was a huge part of my life and career so to go back 15 years later is a dream come true.
“I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to get back to acting and doing what I love!
“I can’t wait to see some old faces and some new. I know this series is going to be the best one yet.”
