OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas is hoping to be reunited with her US-based son Mark this Christmas.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ head judge was reunited with her son after three years apart due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions.
Mark, 36, is a professional dancer on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ across the pond.
And his mum’s biggest wish this Christmas is to have her son turn up at the door to spend the festive season with the family.
Asked what’s on her Father Christmas list this year, she said: “The biggest present for me would be my son actually arriving at my front door.
“That’s all the gift I’d need.”
Asked how she will be spending the holidays, she added: “I’ll be spending Christmas with my mum and hopefully my son and his wife and close friends.
“I’m not doing panto this year — I’ve chosen to have a year off and just enjoy the festivities.”
Although Shirley is taking a break from panto this year, judges Anton du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood will be partaking in some festive theatre.
Anton said: “In the last couple of years pantomimes have been a new addition to my Christmas.
“It’s been lovely to be able to do them because it feels like a strong tradition and I like anything that’s traditionally Christmas like that.
“But on the downside, you are away from home a lot, so you miss so much of it.”
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.
