OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Andrew Le Page is looking like “son-in-law material”, according to her girlfriend Tasha Ghouri’s dad.
The 27-year-old real estate agent has been handed some huge praise by his potential future father-in-law Tarek Ghouri, who was left impressed by the way Andrew described his 23-year-old daughter’s cochlear implant – which allows her to hear – to their pretend child during the ITV2 show’s baby challenge.
Tarek wrote on Twitter: “Andrew is looking more and more like son in law material “The fire pit is very special… your mum told me about her super power, her super power being that she has an implant that makes her able to hear.
“She’s very, very special and very, very brave and with this implant” (sic)”
Tarek recently revealed he put a “letter of support” in Tasha’s bag before she left for ‘Love Island’, and admitted he had been “blown away” by how well she has “conducted herself” on the show.
He said: “She does have a letter in her bag from me that she can get out at any time during the show when she needs some support, and if she needs it she will pull it out, for sure. I am blown away with how she’s conducted herself – she’s conducted herself in such a good way.
“The way she approached her hearing and explained to people about the cochlear implant was absolutely fantastic and a big moment of pride for me.”
During her introduction on the show, the dancer described her disability as a “superpower” and Tarek gushed about how proud he is of Tasha for accepting herself and speaking up for others.
Andrew and Tasha have had an up and down time in the villa, being put up for several dumpings, and they both came back with different partners after Casa Amor.
But the couple – the first of the pairings to become official boyfriend and girlfriend during this year’s series – have rallied and are now second favourites to win this year’s series.
However, the pair have a tough ask to win this year’s finale, which airs on Monday (01.08.22), due to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu being hot favourites to take home the show’s £50,000 prize.
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
