Dayle Hudson thanks EastEnders for ‘hell of a ride’ as he exits soap

OHMYGOSSIP — Dayle Hudson has thanked ‘EastEnders’ for a “hell of a ride” following his exit.
The actor’s character Peter Beale departed Albert Square on Thursday night (14.07.22) after discovering his uncle Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), who previously attacked him in a case of mistaken identity, had been freed from custody after Peter’s gran Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) gave her son an alibi.
Dayle – who has played the character since 2020 – wrote on Instagram: “Thank you Peter, it’s been one hell of a ride.
“And thank you @bbceastenders, it’s been a socially distanced dream”
Peter walked away from Walford with his rucksack on after another bust up with his gran Kathy.
As he paced through the market he ran into his brother Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), who previously murdered their sister Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater) with a jewellery box when he was 10 years old.
Bobby was left devastated this week after finding Peter has been getting close to his former love Dana Monroe (Barbara Smith), and he branded his sibling a “snake”.
Peter violently grabbed hold of his brother’s arm, and told him: “I’d rather be a snake than a murderer.
“Everyone around here may have forgotten what you are, but I see right through this holier than thou rubbish.
“One of these days you’re not going to be able to keep it up, and I’m just sad that I won’t be there to let you know that I told you so.”
Dayle took on the role of Peter in 2020 after the character had been away from Walford for five years.
He was previously played by Ben Hardy from 2013 to 2015, and the actor has gone on to appear in movies ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ as well as BBC TV thriller ‘The Girl Before’ since leaving ‘EastEnders’.
