OHMYGOSSIP — Gordon Ramsay is offering fans the chance to treat their dads to Father’s Day meal costing £137-per-head.
The celebrity chef has been plugging a special six-course menu at his swanky British restaurants to mark the UK’s dad for dads on Sunday (19.06.22) but the prices could push the bill for a family of four with drinks up to around £600.
Gordon promoted the Father’s Day menu in a post online, writing: “Spend time with the father figure in your life this Father’s Day and treat him to a day filled with wining and dining at one of our restaurants.
“From Chelsea to St Paul’s, Liverpool to Edinburgh, we’ll be here to help you celebrate in style.”
A number of his followers replied to the post admitting it sounds amazing but the price means few will be able to afford it.
One wrote: “I wish I could afford this for my husband. The only father in my life. We live on a very fixed income.”
Another tweeted: “Look so good! I couldn’t even afford a cherry tomato right now.”
It comes after fellow chef Angela Hartnett revealed she’d asked the famously foul-mouthed telly star to cut back on his swearing.
Gordon is notorious for his explicit-filled outbursts, but his former protege Angela is hoping all kitchens can become calmer places.
She told the ‘Out To Lunch’ podcast: “There will always be a bit of tension in the kitchens, in that there’s a sense of urgency, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. “There’s that adrenaline, and I can snap, but you don’t have to be nasty. You don’t have to be a bully, that’s for sure. “I probably have said that to Ramsay before. We have had frank conversations about things like that. “Even he knows life’s not like that anymore for God’s sake. It’s not worth it. It’s not healthy.”
