David Walliams says Simon Cowell ‘feels less invincible’ on the new season of Britain’s Got Talent

OHMYGOSSIP — David Walliams says Simon Cowell “feels less invincible” on this season of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The former ‘Little Britain’ star shared that his fellow judge on the ITV talent competition – which is returning to screens on Saturday (16.04.22) – now knows “you have to take care of yourself” after the 62-year-old had a brush with danger after he crashed his e-bike in Malibu.
The 50-year-old funnyman told the Daily Star’s Hot TV Column: “I think Simon feels less invincible. It shakes you up, things like accidents.
“You realise you have to take care of yourself.
“He’s sort of lived the same life for a long time.
“He’s been 25 for about 30 years… he’s had that sort of life. And life’s different now, isn’t it?
“I think he might give up the bike, maybe.”
David – who is joined on the judging panel by Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon – labelled Simon “a very loving father” and gushed how “lovely” it is to watch him with his eight-year-old son Eric, whose mother is his fiancee Lauren Silverman, 44.
He said: “Simon’s a very loving father. It’s lovely to see him and Eric together, and the happiness that Eric brings.”
The ‘Gangsta Granny’ author – who has eight-year-old son Alfred with ex Lara Stone – believes that kids “bring a sort of new meaning to life” and make you less “selfish”.
David said: “When you have children, they bring a sort of new meaning to life, because up to that point, especially in showbusiness, you’re quite selfish, just trying to get on with your career and all that sort of thing.
“Suddenly you realise it’s not really that important and what’s really important is the happiness of this little person who relies on you for everything.”
In February, an insider claimed that the ‘X Factor’ creator was “lucky to be alive” after he fell from his bike during a ride in the rain.
They said he left the scene with “blood pouring down his face”.
