OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson plays meat pranks on his vegetarian pal Pete Wicks.
The 29-year-old reality star opened up about his bromance with the 33-year-old fitness coach during the launch of Subway’s first VIP pop-up restaurant aboard a yacht in central London.
Sam said: “I‘ve tried to prank him. He’s a vegetarian and I’ve tried to prank him with meat before and he gets angry.
“I put some Peperami in his beer once and it didn’t go down well.
“Pete maintains we’re not friends, but you have to be friends first. I think we’re brothers, and he thinks we’re acquaintances.
“He actually does love me, he just says he doesn’t to maintain his cool image.
“When we speak on the phone, I make him say ‘love you’ at the end and sometimes he does.”
Sam – who is the younger brother of his ‘Made in Chelsea’ co-star Louise Thompson, 31 – also admitted if money was no object he would buy himself a safari park so he could surround himself with big cats.
He added: “I think about this every day, should I do the lottery?,
“If I won more than a million, I’d buy myself a safari park and I’d drive my jeep round and retire there. I’d drink beer and watch the lions.”
Sam was the first celebrity guest at Subway’s VIP pop-up that opens to the public for free on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th March, but tables must be booked in advance.
The floating pop-up restaurant offers diners the chance to experience life on a luxury yacht like a VIP in St Tropez and Cannes.
Upon arrival, guest will be greeted on board by the captain with a glass of champagne, and handed complimentary towels, sunglasses and a spritz of millionaire bronzing mist. A live DJ will also be on deck to set the scene with Ibiza classic chill out tunes.
The VIP experience has been launched as part of Subway’s ‘Meal Deal Millionaire’ competition, where Subway customers have the chance to win one million Subway Rewards points.
Sam said: “I was really excited to get aboard The Subway and be the first to have a taste of the VIP lifestyle. Subs with silver service and a DJ playing?! I can’t think of a better way to spend the afternoon!”
Guests who purchase a Subway Meal Deal at Subway stores until 29th March have the chance to become a ‘Meal Deal Millionaire’ and win one million Subway Rewards points – the equivalent of 1,000 Footlong Subs – to redeem against Subway’s delicious Subs, wraps, salads, sides and hot drinks!
