OHMYGOSSIP — Toby Aromolaran has slammed Hugo Hammond as a “two-faced mug” after he called him out over his re-coupling decision on ‘Love Island’.
Hugo stunned his fellow islanders on Thursday (22.07.21) night when he hit out at Toby during the re-coupling, after the semi-professional footballer chose to ditch Chloe Burrows in favour of newcomer Abigail Rawlings.
And on Friday’s (23.07.21) episode of the ITV2 reality show, viewers got to see the full extent of the fallout between Toby and Hugo after the PE teacher’s comments.
After saying goodbye to Georgia Townend – who was ultimately dumped in the re-coupling – Lucinda Strafford called for a toast to the beauty, where she said: “Here’s to Georgia – the biggest breath of fresh air in here!”
And Toby then added: “And to finding out two-faced mugs!”
Later, Hugo decided to pull Toby for a chat so they could clear the air between them, but things didn’t go to plan when Toby slammed him for not talking to him in private before commenting on the situation in the re-coupling.
Toby said: “That’s not cool bro. I am shocked, that is s*** from you. I’ve asked you your opinions and I am not angry about your opinions. Your opinion is completely valid. The fact is the way you went about it.”
And although Hugo was keen to “get past” their differences, Toby was so furious he insisted he no longer considers Hugo to be “family”.
In Thursday’s re-coupling, Hugo fumed as he insisted Chloe deserved better than to be dumped by Toby just 24 hours after Abigail came into the villa.
He said: “If I’m completely honest, she doesn’t deserve to be treated how she has been in the past 24 hours, and I firmly believe that a lot of this ‘test’ stuff is complete bulls***.
“You deserve someone who’s honest, and who really connects with you, and who knows what could happen – stranger things have happened.”
‘Love Island’ will return to screens on Sunday (25.07.21) at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.
