OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis is “sick of being in pain” amid her “absolutely horrific” battle with coronavirus.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress was rushed to hospital last week and put on oxygen, and she tested positive for COVID-19.
Later today (05.07.21), she will have a camera put inside her as doctors try to figure out what is wrong.
In a video message from her hospital bed in the early hours of the morning, she said: “Thanks for all your messages.
“Hopefully when I get the camera down today that’ll figure out a lot of stuff that’s going on.
“But yeah, COVID has been absolutely horrific.
“I think yesterday was the worst day yet.
“I’m going to just focus now on getting better.
“I’ll let you all know how I’m getting on when I’m feeling a lot better.
“I’m anxious because I’m getting the camera put down today, but hopefully that’ll figure out what’s causing all the pain and that.
“I’m alright, I’m just in pain and I’m sick of being in pain now.”
The 28-year-old star – who played Sinead Shelby in the Channel 4 soap – also urged others to wear their face masks and keep washing their hands amid the pandemic.
She added: “Please stay safe. Wear your masks, wash your hands.
“This is absolutely horrific.
“Love you guys.”
Over the weekend, Steph admitted she had been suffering from “severe” chest pains.
She said: “I’ve not been well at all, I’ve just had some morphine and that’s really helped with the pain. I don’t know what’s been going on but I’ve been getting severe pains in my oesophagus and in my chest and, it’s not indigestion because I’ve not ate anything.
“Even when I have a sip of water the pain is unreal, I don’t know what’s going on. I’m feeling very spaced out on the morphine so I’m going to go back to sleep. It’s been horrific.
“The pain in my skin was the worst, I couldn’t touch my skin and my chest is so bad, my oxygen levels aren’t great. I’ll get seen to in a bit when the doctors come round.
“People are all getting different side effects from what’s going on – I’m guessing the pain in my chest is all linked as I’ve only just had this, when a sip of water goes down the pain is unreal. I’ve had some fluids as I’m dehydrated – I’ll keep you all posted.”
