OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Cornish ruined his first kiss with Liberty Poole on ‘Love Island’ by farting.
The 24-year-old water engineer is currently coupled up with the 21-year-old waitress and marketing student, and during Thursday’s (01.07.21) episode of the ITV2 reality show, the pair were seen sharing their very first on-screen kiss while cuddled together on some outside seating.
And while the moment was romantic, the couple were left reeling just seconds later when Jake let rip in the middle of their post-kiss cuddle.
Jake immediately covered his nose with his t-shirt while Liberty tried to waft the smell away with her hand, as they both did their best to laugh off the awkward moment.
The next morning, Liberty told the other girls in the villa – Faye Winter, Sharon Gaffka, Kaz Kamwi, and Chloe Burrows – all about her ordeal, and insisted the stench was the worst thing she’d ever smelled.
But as one of the girls pointed out, Jake must be “special” if the accidental gas didn’t send Liberty running for the hills.
Elsewhere in the episode, the five couples were shaken up by the arrival of two new bombshell boys in the villa – Chuggs Wallis and Liam Reardon – as two of the girls were picked to go on a date with them, much to the upset of the boys they’ve been getting to know so far.
Chuggs picked up Sharon for a date, and while the 25-year-old civil servant is currently coupled with Hugo Hammond, she’s been getting close to Aaron Francis and even shared a kiss with him before her date with Chuggs.
And Liam spent some quality time with Faye, who has been having a disastrous time with current partner Brad McClelland, but has shown an interest in Hugo.
The villa is set for even more surprises during Friday’s (02.07.21) episode, as the first full recoupling of the series will take place, with the girls choosing which boys they’d like to couple up with.
