OHMYGOSSIP — Tina O’Brien wants Lucy Fallon to return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 37-year-old actress – who portrays Sarah Barlow – would love to see her on-screen daughter, who played Bethany Platt from 2015 to 2020, back in the ITV soap.
She said: “We’re still in touch on WhatsApp and Instagram, but I’ve not seen anyone outside of work due to lockdown.
“Selfishly, I would love for Lucy to come back.”
Should Lucy return to Weatherfield, she would be following in Tina’s footsteps after she too made a cobbles comeback in 2015.
And the actress – who initially played Sarah from 1999 to 2007 – feels “incredibly lucky” to still be part of ‘Corrie’.
She added to Inside Soap magazine: “If I’d known back then what I know now, I would have been over the moon.
“I think I had a three-month contract to begin with, and I was just hoping to make it through that and stay.
“Nobody has any idea at all when they start out as an actor, so I feel incredibly lucky to be where I am, and to be part of such an amazing ‘Corrie’ family.”
In September, Lucy supported her on-screen mum after she was body-shamed by online trolls.
She wrote: “Tina!!!!! You’re one of the most incredible women I’ve ever met. (And you’re beautiful) We don’t listen to them. (sic)”
It came after Tina shared a paparazzi photo of herself out in the sun wearing a black vest top and denim shorts, along with cruel remarks from online bullies, one of whom claimed the actress should be “ashamed”.
