OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Redknapp has been unveiled as Flamingo on ‘The Masked Dancer’.
The 46-year-old singer has become the second celebrity to be unmasked during Sunday’s (30.05.21) episode of the ITV reality show, after the judges chose to send Squirrel and Frog through to next week’s episodes.
Jonathan Ross was the only judge to correctly guess her identity, as fellow judge Oti Mabuse picked Lisa Snowdon, while Mo Gilligan guessed Maya Jama, and Davina McCall picked Dani Dyer.
And when Louise was unmasked, Oti couldn’t quite believe it, as the pair danced together on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tour.
She said: “We’ve done dance classes together, we were on tour together, ‘Strictly’ final together, there was one move where I thought it could be you but then I thought your costume is very pink and Louise would never wear pink!”
Although she was gutted to have been booted from the show, Louise was ultimately pleased to have managed to “get out the house” amid lockdown.
She said: “I love dancing and I think after such a tough year in lockdown I thought I really need to get out of the house, and it’s brought a massive smile to my face.”
The former Eternal singer also insisted her sons – Charles, 16, and Beau, 12, whom she has with her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp – were not aware she was making an appearance on the show.
Louise’s unmasking comes as Diversity star Jordan Banjo was the first celebrity to be revealed as Viper during Saturday’s (29.05.21) episode.
Oti correctly guessed his identity, and said: I just know you so well. I had the privilege of dancing with Diversity.”
Still yet to be unveiled on the ‘The Masked Dancer’ are Knickerbocker Glory, Beetroot, Zip, Scarecrow, Llama, Squirrel, Frog, Rubber Chicken, Beagle, and Carwash.
