OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes is standing in for Holly Willoughby on ‘This Morning’ this week.
The 32-year-old star is stepping in for the TV presenter, as she is “working on something else” this week, but Holly’s co-host Phillip Schofield returned to the programme today (19.04.21) following a two-week Easter break.
Speaking on today’s show, he said: “Rochelle is here all week. Lovely to see you.
“Thank you very much for coming in.”
Rochelle said: “It’s lovely to see you.”
Holly took to Instagram to reveal she was working on a secret project, and she thanked Rochelle for keeping her seat warm.
She posted: “Vitamin d, caffeine and a side order of distraction from Chester… working on something else next week which I can’t wait to share with you all…. thank you to the lovely @rochellehumes for keeping my side of the sofa warm… x (sic)”
While it’s not known what Holly is working on, some fans have speculated she could be filming a cameo on ‘Midsomer Murders’, after she was offered a dream guest role on the ITV murder mystery series live on ‘This Morning’ last month.
After Phil teased there was something she didn’t know, star Neil Dudgeon – who plays DCI John Barnaby in the show – said: “We’ve all had a big talk about who we want to appear on ‘Midsomer’, and we decided we want Holly Willoughby to appear in an episode of ‘Midsomer Murders’ very soon.
“I’ve been speaking to people upstairs and they’ve been speaking to your people. Holly please, I am emboldened here to offer you a role in ‘Midsomer Murders.’ ”
Holly immediately shouted “yes”, and was overcome with emotions after receiving such exciting news.
She added: “I’ve seen every episode since it started way back when. Are you serious?
“I mean, you’re going to have to kill me off really quickly as I’m terrible at acting.”
However, Neil quipped: “That’s never held us back in ‘Midsomer.’ ”
