OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Caualty’s George Rainsford has teased a romance for his character Ethan Hardy.
The 38-year-old actor revealed that Ethan and co-worker Fenisha Khatri (Olivia D’Lima) could finally be set for a happy ending but teased that there are also some “exciting” stunts in the upcoming series finale.
Asked if there is romance in store for Fenisha and Ethan, he told Digital Spy: “I think so. So much has happened between them and there is clearly an attraction there – we’ve known that from the start.
“They’ve been through the wringer and I think there could be some light at the end of the tunnel. There is a lot more to explore between Fenisha and Ethan, their relationship definitely takes a few twists and turns.
“We are filming a massive end of series episode at the moment which is going to be one of those big ‘Casualty’ ensemble pieces with an event which pulls together lots of the cast. There’s big stunts and it’s very exciting.
“That will be in the summer and then the 35th anniversary stuff will follow after that.”
However, there could be further heartbreak in store as Ethan has the Huntington’s gene, meaning there is a 50 per cent chance that their son Bodhi does too.
He said: “The challenge has always been finding a story that is related, but doesn’t necessarily mean that Ethan gets the symptoms
“Once that properly happens, he can’t be a doctor and then the character is on his way out. The pregnancy story was something we mentioned ages ago as it forces Ethan to address the secrets of carrying that condition if there is an unplanned pregnancy.
“He thought she was having a termination so never got a chance to tell her.”
