OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Parkinson is set to host a ‘Line of Duty’ podcast.
The 44-year-old actor – who played DI Matthew ‘Dot’ Cottan on the drama from 2011 to 2015 – will delve deep into the police drama with fellow cast members and celebrity superfans on the BBC Sounds podcast ‘Obsessed with…Line of Duty’.
Craig told the BBC: “Returning to the world of ‘Line Of Duty’, this time as a podcast host, is very exciting. I’m looking forward to chatting with some fantastic guests, cast members old and new and getting as frustrated as everyone else trying to work out where AC-12 are taking us this season. As someone who’s been deep on the inside, I’m well aware we’ll be in for a rollercoaster ride and hosting the podcast side by side, week by week, we’ll be able to delve deep into the files and fan theories of AC-12. Hold tight team!”
Fans of the BBC thriller can follow the podcast – which launches on March 21 – to dissect the sixth series with each episode available straight after each television episode airs.
Craig will look into various fan theories about the storyline and will try to predict the next episode based on the information he has from the previous episode, as well as chatting to cast members and revealing his own experience on the show.
The sixth series of ‘Line of Duty’ will also kick off on March 21, which was confirmed during an exclusive teaser aired around the Six Nations match on BBC One over the weekend.
Series six of Jed Mercurio’s drama will see Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar and Martin Compston return to their roles alongside Shalom Brune-Franklin, a new addition to the AC-12 team.
Kelly Macdonald will also make her debut as guest lead Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson, the senior investigating officer on an unsolved murder case whose suspicious conduct attracts the attention of Anti-Corruption.
