OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Gill is in a new relationship.
The former ‘Love Island’ winner has revealed she’s “really happy” in her new romance with a mystery person, and although she didn’t name the special someone in her life, she has admitted it’s someone she’s known for years.
She confessed: “At the minute, I’m not single and ready to mingle, no. It’s someone I’ve known from before, it’s not somebody I’ve known from lockdown onwards. But yes I’m happy, I’m really happy.”
And Amber also hinted her new beau is “very confident”, as she said love interests can often be “intimidated” by her if they’re not already “sure within themselves”.
She added: “If I am going to get with somebody then they need to be very confident and sure within themselves so it just means that the ones that are intimidated, they get found out quite quickly and I don’t waste my time.”
The 23-year-old reality star has been stuck indoors for most of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and has confessed she has struggled with her weight as she isn’t able to hit the gym.
Amber even had people online “fat-shame” her for weighing just over 10 stone.
She said: “Lockdown got to me so much. Eating was sort of the only excitement of the day. I think I weighed around 10 stone 1lb and people were saying what the hell’s happened to you and I was like, I don’t know, what has happened?! I wasn’t wearing dresses or getting dressed up to go out, I was just chilling in my joggers so I had no idea. It wasn’t the nicest thing in the world to hear, I have to admit.”
Amber also struggled with lockdown when the Black Lives Matter protests took place in June, as it meant she couldn’t do as much as she would have liked to help.
Speaking to Entertainment Daily, she said: “I was getting hundreds of messages every day when it was going on. That was tough. It was lockdown, I was trying to fight for what I felt was right and then not everyone, but there were a fair few people who were going against it. You just can’t believe it’s happening.”
