OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins passed her driving test by “bribing” her instructor with sausage sandwiches.
The 39-year-old reality star failed her practical driving test many times, but she eventually got the green light to take to the roads on her own after she offered her instructor several sausage sarnies “to try and get him to pass me”.
Speaking on ‘The Gemma Collins Podcast’, she said: “I took my test loads of times and then I think I actually bribed my driving instructor with sausage sandwiches to try and get him to pass me.
“I used to love driving lessons. You’ve got to concentrate but it’s so easy to get distracted.”
The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star previously worked as a car saleswoman before finding fame on the ITV2 reality show.
However, it was not just her practical driving test she struggled with, as Gemma admitted she had to retake her theory test “15 times” because she couldn’t concentrate.
She said: “It is so easy to overthink things. I sat the theory test about 15 times, but basically, I know it sounds bad, I weren’t really interested in it.”
This comes after Gemma recently signed up to teach a business studies lesson to schoolchildren as part of the second series of ‘Celebrity Supply Teacher’, after she opened her own clothing boutique in Brentwood.
She said: “I might be Britain’s number one reality star and best loved diva but being a celebrity supply teacher has been fantastic. I have been passionate about business ever since I was a child.
“We were quite poor growing up, we didn’t have luxuries, and seeing my father set up his own business and seeing how our lives changed really motivated me to become a business person myself. I have loved passing on my top business tips learnt over the years to the next generation of entrepreneurs!”
