OHMYGOSSIP — Max George “can hardly walk” after his first performance on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 32-year-old singer took to the dance floor for the first time on Saturday (24.10.20), when he performed the tango alongside Dianne Buswell, but Max admits the show has already taken a physical toll on him.
Asked how his body has responded to the challenge, Max shared: “I can hardly walk today. This one … this next dance is tough. Physically very challenging.”
Max also revealed he’s carried a wrist injury into the competition and he’s keen to recover before he starts performing dances that involve lifts.
He said: “I’ve got a bad wrist, but that was from a few weeks ago. It just started flaring up when we started doing this. But it’s alright. We haven’t had to do any lifts as yet, so hopefully it gets better soon.”
For their next dance, Max and Dianne, 31, will perform a jive to the tune of ‘I’m A Believer’ by The Monkees.
But between the weekend shows, the duo are forced to stay in a bubble due to coronavirus restrictions, meaning Dianne is currently separated from Joe Sugg.
Speaking to ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ about the impact of the safety measures, Dianne said: “I’m a part of Max’s bubble, which means I can’t see Joe. So I’ve had to move out and yeah, you’ve sort of created your own bubble now as well.”
Dianne admits that the off-screen scenario is tough for the contestants, but she’s also appreciative of the opportunity to star on the show.
She said: “It’s tough obviously – but we are just so happy that we’re able to do it, so…”
