OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Griffiths wished his ex Amber Gill well as he departed the ‘Love Island’ villa on Sunday (21.07.19).
The firefighter bid farewell to his former love as he left the island and told Amber that he hopes she works it out with new boy Greg O’Shea as he just wants her to be happy.
Amber said: “You’ve been here since day one and above anything, we are good friends and we got on so well. Can’t believe you’re going really. I don’t wanna get upset.”
And Michael told her: “It’s the right time, 100 per cent. I know I wasn’t the nicest person over the past few weeks. I said to you that I don’t think you and Greg will work. After seeing you more, I actually do see it working. I see how happy he makes you and it makes me happy seeing him make you happy. I just didn’t see it before but I see it more now.”
And in the Beach Hut, Amber admitted the chat they had “meant so much” because he didn’t need to do it.
She said: “He’s a lovely guy, he did make a few mistakes but he did not have to have that conversation at all. It wasn’t necessary to have that but it meant so much.”
Michael – who dumped Amber after meeting Joanna Chimondes in Casa Amor – confessed he still liked her in a deep chat, whilst also apologising to her after he demanded she “sit down” before a chat and said he was “taking out his frustration” on her.
Michael said: “When I came over and told you to sit down, it was because you had been wearing heels all night and I didn’t want you to walk anywhere else. I am apologising if it came across in a bad way.”
