Tom-boy childhood for actress Jennifer Laerence

Jennifer Lawrence claims she was “so dykey” during her younger years. The 20-year-old actress — who grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where her dad owned a construction company and her mom ran a summer camp — says she loved to fish, play hockey, softball and basketball on an all-boys team.

“I was so dykey,” she said.

Lawrence has previously admitted she classes herself as a “redneck”.

“Little redneck things still come out,” Jennifer, who now lives in Los Angeles, told Rolling Stone magazine.

“I’m attracted to my brother. Stuff like that.

“I went through a wood-chopping phase when I was 9 or 10.”
