Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have love song penned for them

OHMYGOSSIP — A love song has been penned to mark Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh’s platinum wedding anniversary.
The classical piece of music has been composed by Russian Olga Thomas and features Australian tenor Daniel Koek and soprano Joanna Forest.
Of the love song, Thomas explained: “The Queen and Prince Philip’s relationship is inspirational for me.
“I love the idea of a traditional commitment which seems to be less common these days.
“They are symbols of everlasting love, a true reflection of what a marriage really should be, two people working together as one, a long-term commitment to each other and values that I hold dear.”
The royal couple married at Westminster Abbey in 1947 and are set to celebrate their 70th anniversary next month.
Thomas said it was important to her that the song had a “timeless quality”.
She told the Daily Express newspaper: “I wanted the song to reflect this, to be full of passion, heart, dramatic in scale and an epic timeless piece that will endure for years to come.”
‘Royal Platinum Love Song’ is set for release on November 10.
Meanwhile, it was revealed earlier this month that Queen Elizabeth is a big fan of the Beach Boys.
Ingrid Seward, author of the book ‘My Husband & I’, which details Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s marriage, said: “The Queen is a big fan of musicals, traditional hymns, and Scottish ballads, and even the Beach Boys’s songs, especially ‘California Girls’.
“She also likes Elton John and all kinds of military music. She plays the piano herself and has a pitch-perfect singing voice. Whether or not she has much time to listen to music on her iPod I am not sure, but I rather doubt it.”
