Prince Harry to move into Clarence House?

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry could be set to move in to Clarence House when Prince Charles become King.
The 68-year-old royal is set to become the next monarch when the reign of his mother, 91-year-old Queen Elizabeth, comes to an end, and despite recent reports that Charles doesn’t want to move to the official royal residence of Buckingham Palace, it seems his youngest son Prince Harry could move into Charles’ current home after he takes up the role as the King.
The Daily Express newspaper has claimed the 33-year-old royal and his actress girlfriend Meghan Markle are lined up to take up residence in the four-storey London mansion after Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, move to the palace.
It comes after a spokesperson for the royal family insisted that Buckingham Palace would continue to serve as the residence of the monarch, despite claims Charles isn’t happy about the thought moving.
They said: “Buckingham Palace will remain the official London residence of the monarch.”
If Prince Harry – who currently resides at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace – doesn’t take up residence at Clarence House, it has also been reported the home could be used as offices for parts of the Royal Household, although it is likely no final decision will be made until after Charles becomes King.
Meanwhile, it is believed a factor contributing to Charles’ reluctance to move house is because he is concerned about how costly it will be to maintain the 775 rooms, and keep Buckingham Palace in pristine condition all year round.
And on top of the cleaning fees, Charles is also worried by the news that tax payer’s will reportedly have to fund the £370-million renovation the royal headquarters are due to undergo, which are believed to take 10 years to fully complete.
