Prince Harry presents winners of Men and Women's London Wheelchair Marathon with their gongs

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry presented the winners of this year’s Men and Women’s London Wheelchair Marathon to David Weird and Manuela Schar.
The 32-year-old royal, who is the patron of the annual sporting event, was on hand to give the two champions their medal and trophy after they won the gruelling event, which took place in London on Sunday (23.04.17).
A photograph of the flame-haired hunk beside the two winners, who were clasping their gongs, has been shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account.
The sweet post read: “Prince Harry, @LondonMarathon Patron, presented Great Britain’s David Weir, who won the Men’s Wheelchair race and Switzerland’s Manuela Schar who won the Women’s Wheelchair race today #LondonMarathon (sic).”
The news Harry – who is currently dating ‘Suits’ actress Meghan Markle – would be distributing medals out was broadcasted on Kensington Palace’s Twitter account earlier in the day yesterday.
They tweeted: “Prince Harry is presenting medals to the Elite Men’s, Women & Wheelchair winners on the finish line on The Mall. #TeamHeadsTogether (sic).”
But not only did Harry honour the winners, but he also presented the Lifetime Achievement award to olympian Brendan Foster – who received the bronze medal for the 10,000 metre run during the 1976 Summer sporting extravaganza and has set up the Great North Run.
The social media site shared: “He is also presenting the lifetime achievement award to Brendan Foster, an Olympian & founder of the Great North Run. #Teamheadstogether (sic).”
Harry, Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine also handed out medals to those who crossed the finish line, and they are “thrilled” competitors supported their Heads Together campaign by wearing headbands during the 26.2 mile slog.
The Twitter account wrote: “The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry are thrilled that so many runners have chosen to wear #TeamHeadsTogether headbands today. (sic).”
